BWB ANGUS RANCH

The BWB Angus Ranch began with the purchase of an elite set of females from the McCumber and Bowerman ranches, which have become our original donors to build our cow herd. These cows were selected for a number of attributes including moderate size, volume, superior fleshing ability, excellent udders, light birth weight and structural correctness. These cattle also possessed the genetics we were looking for including N Bar Emulation EXT, DHD Traveler 6807, Leachman Right Time, Rainmaker 654X, OCC Emblazon, OCC Anchor, OCC Legacy, OCC Juneau, OCC Tremendous, SAV 8180 Traveler 004 and Sinclair 4X13.

Another integral part of our program has been the purchase of B.B.A.R High Stakes 220, a bull that is extremely correct, has great feet, very powerful and transmits these traits to his offspring. He traces back to many proven sires such as OCC Legacy, Nugget 801X, Johnston Nugget 370E and Leachman Right Time. He is and will continue to be a large part of our program going forward here at BWB Angus Ranch.

We also started with a very stringent embryo program, purchasing a number of embryo’s from Colemans based out of Montana, known for extremely correct and maternal cattle. After visiting Colemans ranch and walking the herd we selected a number of embryo mating’s  to some of Larry Coleman’s best cows in our opinion. These cows include Coleman Donna 504, Coleman Miss Wix 0204, Coleman Donna 0308, Coleman Abigale 0277 (Charlo’s Full Sister), Coleman Everelda Entense 2321, Coleman Donna 0298, Coleman Eriskay 291, among others.

With these cornerstone pieces in place, we have been able to build a cow herd with some of the most proven pedigrees found anywhere in North America. This has created cattle that are consistent, "breed true" and consistently "stamp" their offspring. We are committed and passionate about providing these traits to the commercial and purebred cattleman.
